Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed SERVE THE KING (GB) has arrived in Ontario and will stand the 2023 season as the property of Santino DiPaola who recently acquired the multiple stakes winner. He will stand for a fee of $4,000

Serve the King raced for Peter Brant and was trained by Chad Brown throughout his 11-race career. Following two wins at one mile on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs to begin his racing life, Serve the King won an allowance race at Monmouth and placed in two stakes races including the 2020 Monmouth Stakes (G3).

In 2021, Serve the King won the John’s Call Stakes at Saratoga and followed that up with a second-place finish in the Grade 1 Turf Classic Invitational at Belmont from which he earned a 100 Beyer Speed Figure. He capped off his career with flair, winning the Red Smith Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct over another top turf horse, Channel Cat.

“The second he got off the van from Kentucky I said wow… this is what the good ones look like,” said DiPaola. “He’s balanced and muscled and incredibly well-natured for a stallion. What he did on the track was fantastic and with his world-class pedigree I think he’s going to be a great fit for Canadian breeders and the Ontario market. There has been a lot of interest in him so far so I’m excited.”

The 6-year-old horse is from the first crop of one of Europe’s top stallions, Kingman (Invincible Spirit), who already has 54 stakes winners and is a top sire of 2-year-olds. His 2022 stars included Group 1 winning sprinter Kinross and Group 1 2-year-old winner Commissioning.

Serve the King’s dam is Fallen in Love (GB) a Group 2-placed daughter of Galileo and half-sister to Coronation Stakes (G1) winner Fallen for You (GB).

Group 1 winner and stallion Fly to the Stars appears under the third dam Rise and Fall (GB).
